Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin's Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) seeks an Audio Manager to maintain audio infrastructure across 5 broadcast video studios, 2 audio studios, and multiple venues on UT Main Campus. The role requires expertise with Dante, NDI, and AV networking, plus strong organizational and communication skills for rapid issue resolution.

You will work with the LAITS Video Studios Manager, help train student engineers, and assist with live events,

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional audio experience.
• 2 years in audio studios or broadcast environments.
• Strong knowledge of audio equipment and peripherals.
• Experience with AoIP technology.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to train student audio engineers.
• Proficiency with collaboration tools (Slack, Office, Google Workspace, Zoom).

Responsibilities

• Oversee studio and field audio production; lead on productions.
• Project manage A/V productions including estimates, planning, invoicing.
• Research, manage, implement, and maintain audio technology for all studios.
• Assist development of workflows, documentation and scheduling.
• Provide training on audio production for Student Technology Assistants.
• Maintain studio infrastructure and equipment inventory; troubleshoot issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
