Job summary

Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) hosts the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) and supports education, training, workforce development, and advising missions.

The incumbent will prepare and deliver instruction on security cooperation topics, including Foreign Military Sales (FMS), advise U.S. and partner officials, conduct research and analysis, and develop instructional materials.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited university in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in security cooperation functions or related areas.
• Documented intellectual contributions in area(s) of expertise.
• Teaching experience and/or advising senior leaders.
• Experience in managing FMS processes and international armaments cooperation.

Responsibilities

Job description

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) within the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). The incumbent supports the University's education, training, workforce development, and advising missions. Duties include preparing and delivering instruction on security cooperation topics, including Foreign Military Sales (FMS), advising U.S. and partner nation officials, conducting research and analysis, and developing instructional materials.

You may qualify at the AD-05 if you fulfill the following qualifications.

Your resume must support all of the following requirements to be considered for the position. Please ensure transcripts reflecting a conferred master's degree are also provided with your application:

1. 1.Master's degree from a regionally or nationally accredited university in a relevant functional area required: international relations, economics, foreign affairs, history, political science, business administration, defense and strategy, or a related field that supports DSCU's programming, research, analysis, or messaging needs.
2. 2. Ten (10) or more years of experience with the practice, training, or study of one or more security cooperation functional areas (ref: www.dscu.edu/certification2). Experience in government, military, private sector, or academia shall be of sufficient depth or breadth as to establish professional expertise in leadership, management, planning, and execution tasks.
3. 3. Documented intellectual contributions in area(s) of expertise.
4. 4. Teaching experience and/or experience advising senior leaders.
5. 5. Experience in managing foreign military sales (FMS) processes and/or international armaments cooperation with international allies and partners.
