Job summary

Driven Brands is seeking a Leave Specialist to administer and manage leave programs across the United States and Canada, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, Canada Labour Code, and related laws.

You will manage the end-to-end leave process—from initial notice through return to work—while safeguarding records, guiding managers, and collaborating with HR, payroll, and legal teams to deliver accurate, timely support.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of leave requirements and protections under FMLA, ADA, Canada Labour Code, ACA and related laws.
• 5+ years of HR experience managing centralized leaves and accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with employees about leave needs and documentation.
• Manage the end-to-end leave process from initial notice to return to work, including eligibility and medical certification as needed.
• Maintain communication with employees on leave to facilitate timely return.
• Advise managers on interaction of leave laws with PTO, workers' comp, and disability benefits.
• Oversee the return-to-work process after extended leaves.
• Lead ADA and ACA accommodation requests through interactive process.
• Draft or revise leave policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain confidential records of leave and accommodations.
