• Drive leasing activity, achieve occupancy goals, and maintain strong closing ratios.
• Guide applicants through applications, screening, lease execution, and move-in coordination in compliance with Fair Housing requirements.
• Mentor and train leasing consultants and support leasing office operations.

Senior Leasing Consultant / Senior Leasing Supervisor

Multifamily Property Management | Morris County, NJ | Onsite

A well-established, family-owned multifamily property management company is seeking an energetic, results-driven Senior Leasing Consultant / Senior Leasing Supervisor to lead leasing operations at a 200+ unit apartment community in Morris County, New Jersey.

This is an excellent step-up opportunity for an experienced apartment leasing professional with 3–5+ years of multifamily leasing experience who is ready to take ownership of a leasing office, mentor a team, and grow into a leadership role.

Management experience is not required! The ideal candidate is a motivated, hands-on go-getter with strong sales skills, excellent people skills, and the integrity to lead by example. Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred, and a New Jersey real estate license is required (qualified candidates may have up to 90 days to obtain it).

Key Responsibilities

Leasing, Sales & Occupancy

• Manage incoming phone, email, and online leads, schedule tours, and convert prospects into leases.
• Conduct engaging apartment tours highlighting community amenities, apartment features, and value.
• Drive leasing activity, achieve occupancy goals, and maintain strong closing ratios.
• Guide applicants through applications, screening, lease execution, and move-in coordination in compliance with Fair Housing requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

• Support the Property Manager with daily leasing office operations, scheduling, and workflow.
• Mentor and train leasing consultants on sales techniques, follow-up, closing strategies, and customer service.
• Lead by example, maintain accountability, and promote a professional, customer-focused leasing environment.
• Help onboard and develop new team members.

Marketing & Market Research

• Monitor competitor pricing, rental rates, concessions, and local market trends.
• Support marketing initiatives, online advertising, social media, and reputation management.
• Maintain excellent curb appeal and ensure model apartments, vacant units, and common areas are tour-ready.

Resident Relations & Retention

• Support lease renewals, resident retention initiatives, and renewal communications.
• Build positive relationships with current and prospective residents.
• Address resident concerns professionally and work with property management to resolve issues.
• Assist with resident events and community engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of multifamily apartment leasing experience.
• New Jersey real estate license required; qualified candidates may have up to 90 days to obtain their license.
• Previous leasing management or supervisory experience is not required; leadership potential and willingness to learn are essential.
• Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred.
• Strong sales, communication, organization, and customer service skills.
• Experience with Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, or other property management software is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and leasing procedures.
• Ability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including weekends and occasional holidays.
