Job summary

PetroLedger is seeking a Senior Lease & Title Analyst in Dallas to review and maintain lease and title documents, ensuring accurate ownership and lease obligations across oil and gas operations. You will interpret leases, deeds, and title opinions, and support data migration and system upgrades.

You will work with the Land Administration team, clients, and attorneys to resolve complex title issues, maintain records, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
• 5-8 years in land administration, lease records or title analysis in oil & gas.
• Experience with land systems and lease management tools is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, analyze, and summarize leases, deeds, assignments, title opinions, and JOAs.
• Maintain mineral, royalty, working interest, NRI, and leasehold ownership records.
• Identify title defects and coordinate curative efforts with attorneys and stakeholders.
• Serve as escalation resource for complex ownership and title issues.
• Set up and maintain lease and title data in land systems; manage records.
• Generate calendars or reports from the land management system for internal or client use.
• Monitor expiration calendars and ensure timely lease obligations and payments.
