Job summary

Diamondback Energy, Inc. is seeking a senior Lease Records Analyst IV to lead complex lease, contract, ownership, and obligation records setup and validation for company-operated and non-operated assets.

You will guide the Lease Administration team, drive data integrity, and support acquisitions/divestitures. The role requires 10+ years of oil and gas land records experience, advanced knowledge of land records, and strong collaboration with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent experience in Land Admin.
• Minimum of 10 years of oil and gas land or lease records experience.
• Advanced knowledge of lease, contract, ownership, and obligation record maintenance.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex land agreements and resolve record discrepancies.
• Experience leading projects and providing technical training to team members.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior guidance and training to Lease Administration team members.
• Review and maintain complex leases, contracts, and ownership records within land systems.
• Establish lease provisions and payment obligations to protect assets.
• Perform quality control to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate activities related to acquisitions, divestitures, and data conversions.
• Collaborate with Land, Division Orders, Accounting, Legal, and Operations teams.
• Lead special projects and data cleanup initiatives in Lease Administration.
• Develop cross-functional relationships and take on additional duties as needed.
