Job summary

Generac is seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to lead lean initiatives across the value stream, coaching teams in value stream mapping, Kanban, and standard work within a manufacturing setting. You will drive waste elimination and continuous improvement using GMS methodologies while aligning with corporate strategy.

The role emphasizes hands-on execution, mentoring peers, and implementing standards and programs to improve performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Quality, or Supply Chain)
• 5 years of demonstrated implementation experience in Lean principles

Responsibilities

• Coach and lead the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles and the Generac Manufacturing System (GMS).
• Coach others to develop and implement Continuous Improvement solutions to solve complex process issues.
• Develop, document, and implement standard work to provide a basis of continuous improvement.
• Mentor and guide facility team members in Lean principles and tools.
• Participate with the corporate Continuous Improvement team on standards and programs.
• Help implement facility strategic plans and share best practices and benchmarks.
