Merck & Co. in the USA (Primary location: USA - Pennsylvania - West Point) seeks a Sr. Specialist to design and optimize facilities and processes using Lean and MPS methods.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across operations, quality, and supply chain, guiding project delivery and continuous improvement. The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing/engineering, Lean expertise, and strong coaching abilities, with travel around 25% and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Engineering Degree desired or in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing, engineering, or consulting environments.
• Hands-on application of Lean tools and techniques: standardized work, scientific problem solving, value stream mapping, mistake proofing, 5S-Visual Factory.
• Lean application experience, understanding and successful application of MPS critical thinking skills.
• Experience applying consultative skills: influence decisions, interact with all levels, project management, business acumen, and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Design, analyze, and improve process and facility designs on assigned projects to deliver simple, reliable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions.
• Support process design from FEL 0 through FEL3 and Start-up Readiness as part of GES teams.
• Provide coaching to transfer Lean skills across project teams and lead workshops.
• Lead on improving GES business processes and project design execution.
• Engage stakeholders to ensure high standards around OA, changeover, facility layout and process design.
