Job summary

New York Edge is seeking a Sr. Leadership & SEL Coach to lead one borough portfolio of afterschool SEL, mental health, and leadership programs across multiple sites. You will supervise Jr.

Leadership & SEL Coaches and ensure high-quality, student-centered programming. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating mental health referrals, maintaining curriculum and assessments, and partnering with schools and clinicians.

Qualifications

• MSW, BSSW, or a degree in School Counseling required.
• Experience in school-based settings required.
• Supervisory or leadership experience with youth staff.
• Ability to support students with academic, social, and emotional challenges.
• Strong understanding of child development and trauma-informed practice.
• Knowledge of mental health referral pathways and coordinating services.
• Strong technology and data management skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mental health, SEL, and leadership supports across sites within the portfolio.
• Directly supervise, coach, and evaluate Jr. Leadership & SEL Coaches.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex student, family, or site concerns.
