Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a senior leader to drive workforce development initiatives across US regions, designing and piloting innovative programs with local stakeholders. The role will own the full program lifecycle, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence while leveraging data to guide decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in education leadership, workforce development, economic development, or public policy.
• Knowledge of education funding sources, policies, and legislation.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the full workforce program lifecycle, from gap identification and solution design through pilot execution and scaled delivery.
• Assess current offerings against labor market demands and expansion timelines; identify competency gaps and new concepts.
• Set a multi-horizon strategic vision across national, state, regional, and local levels and translate into a prioritized roadmap.
• Cultivate high-trust relationships with political, economic development and education leaders; secure policy, funding and institutional support to scale programs.
• Represent the workforce development mission through public speaking, written content, convenings and coalition-building with policymakers, educators, employers, and community organizations.
• Champion needs of internal teams and external partners to increase program quality and relevance.
• Partner with research/analysis to evaluate effectiveness and communicate outcomes to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
