Job summary

The J. M. Smucker Co. seeks a Director of Talent & Executive Development to lead enterprise programs spanning succession, leadership development, learning, performance, and workplace inclusion.

You will partner with senior HR and OBPs to ensure a robust talent pipeline while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned to business priorities. Location: Orrville, OH with 35% in-office work. You will drive officer-level hiring and development, measure program outcomes, and influence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in Talent Management, Leadership Development, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise talent or organizational development functions.
• Demonstrated success designing and executing enterprise-wide talent strategies and cadence of annual talent practices (e.g., talent reviews, succession planning).
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide adoption of talent strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise talent strategy and develop tools and methodology.
• Oversee leadership development, succession planning, and talent management at scale.
• Drive executive recruiting and development for senior leadership roles.
• Partner with OBPs and senior leaders to strengthen leadership capability and readiness.
• Establish enterprise learning direction and drive modern, digital learning solutions.
• Guide workplace inclusion and Thriving Together initiatives across the organization.
• Lead a team of three L&D professionals and model Smucker's culture and leadership principles.
