Job summary

Blue Shield of California seeks a Sr. Director, Provider Partnerships to lead strategic engagement with medical providers, aligning network strategies with enterprise goals across lines of business.

You will translate organizational strategy into executable provider initiatives that improve affordability, quality, access, and member experience. The role requires 12+ years of relevant experience, 6+ years of people management, deep expertise in provider models and contracting, and a proven track

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 4 years additional experience in lieu of a degree
• 12+ years of relevant experience
• 6+ years of people management experience
• Deep expertise in complex provider models, contract structures, and market financial responsibility
• Experience with quadruple aim and healthcare market operations
• Executive provider engagement experience with multiple complex relationships
• Ability to mentor, lead change, and collaborate across BSC
• Strong leadership, communication, problem solving, and negotiation skills
• Technological and data-savvy with effective use of information systems

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across a matrixed environment; align internal functions
• Translate organizational strategies into actionable provider initiatives
• Manage and nurture executive-level provider relationships for affordability, quality, access, and experience
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute provider engagement plans
• Coach and develop leaders and teams; drive large-scale change and accountability
