Job summary

Silicon Hills in Austin, TX seeks a Vice President of Operations to lead all PCB manufacturing and operations, ensuring safe, high-quality production aligned with company goals.

The role oversees production scheduling, capacity planning, and staff development across shifts, driving continuous improvement and KPI performance while maintaining IPC/ISO standards and fostering a lean culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing/ops experience.
• Experience in PCB fabrication/assembly preferred.
• Knowledge of IPC standards, ISO 9001; AS9100 a plus.
• ERP/MRP systems and data-driven production management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing floor operations including PCB fabrication, SMT, assembly, wave solder, and electrical test.
• Develop and manage production scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow for on-time delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and develop department managers, supervisors, and staff across shifts.
• Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with ESD, FOD, environmental, health, and safety regs.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma programs to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Monitor KPIs: on-time delivery, first-pass yield, scrap rate, and OEE.
