Job summary

Moss Consulting HR Services is seeking a Vice President of Operations in Austin, TX, to oversee PCB fabrication and manufacturing floor operations, ensuring safe, high‑quality production aligned with company goals.

The role requires leading multiple shifts, driving continuous improvement, managing budgets, and partnering with Quality and Engineering to achieve IPC and ISO standards while optimizing throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field; MBA/MS a plus.
• 8+ years in manufacturing/operations with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Direct experience in PCB fabrication or electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Familiarity with IPC industry standards, ISO 9001; AS9100 experience a plus.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven production management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all manufacturing floor operations including PCB fabrication, SMT, assembly, wave solder, and electrical test.
• Develop and manage production scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow to meet on-time delivery commitments.
• Lead, mentor, and develop department managers, supervisors, and production staff across all shifts.
• Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with ESD, FOD, ISO safety requirements.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, yield, scrap rate, and OEE.
