Job summary

UCLA's Economics Department seeks a Senior Executive Director to lead the Master of Quantitative Economics (MQE) program and drive industry engagement, experiential learning, and graduate career development. You will supervise professional staff, manage budgets, and foster partnerships with faculty, employers, alumni, and external stakeholders to advance curriculum and growth.

Qualifications

• Ten years of program management experience in higher education or similar
• Strong leadership and staff supervision experience
• Ability to build and sustain employer and external partnerships
• Demonstrated success designing innovative student programs and engagement strategies
• Proven ability to cultivate alumni relationships and support career pathways
• Strategic planning and vision aligned with university priorities
• Knowledge of current trends in quantitative economics, data science, and graduate education
• Experience launching and managing multiple projects with priorities and budgets
• Excellent verbal and written communication for senior stakeholders
• Strong financial management and resource allocation skills
• Experience in learning design or human-centered design principles
• Deep understanding of the higher education landscape and university priorities
