Job summary

Jobgether SRL is partnering to hire an Associate Director, Engineering - Enterprise Performance Engineering in the United States. The role leads a centralized team driving performance testing, workload modeling, capacity planning, resilience, and observability across complex environments.

You will embed performance validation in Agile/DevOps/CI/CD, shape cloud-native strategies, and partner with multiple teams to improve scalability and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years in software/ performance/ quality engineering or related technical discipline.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience managing engineering or performance engineering teams.
• Led performance testing/engineering initiatives for large-scale enterprise applications.
• Hands-on with enterprise performance testing tools (LoadRunner, BlazeMeter, JMeter, Performance Center).
• Strong knowledge of performance analysis, capacity planning, workload modeling, tuning, and optimization.
• Experience with web apps, REST APIs, microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, and databases.
• Familiarity with observability/monitoring platforms (Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, New Relic).
• Ability to influence senior technical stakeholders and collaborate across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise performance engineering strategy, roadmap, governance, standards, and methodologies.
• Manage a centralized team of performance engineers, architects, and specialists.
• Provide services across customer-facing, internal, cloud-native, AI-enabled, and mission-critical apps.
• Define performance strategies: load, stress, capacity, resilience testing across systems.
• Embed performance validation into Agile/DevOps/CI-CD and production-readiness processes.
• Partner with Architecture to incorporate performance, scalability, and reliability in design.
• Lead performance analysis, tuning, and root-cause investigations across apps, APIs, databases, and cloud services.
• Drive adoption of performance testing tools, automation, accelerators, analytics, and AI-assisted testing.
• Lead cloud performance engineering across AWS and Azure, including microservices and containers.
