Job summary
Humana is seeking an Associate Director, Software Engineering (Enterprise Performance Engineering) to lead a centralized team of performance engineers and advance Humana's performance capabilities across cloud-native, AI-enabled, and mission-critical applications.
You will shape standards, governance, and an operating model, partner with Architecture, DevOps, SRE, Quality Engineering, Data Engineering, AI Engineering, and Product teams to ensure scalable, reliable systems through testing,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, performance engineering, quality engineering, or related disciplines.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering or performance engineering teams.
- Proven experience leading performance testing engagements for large-scale enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead performance engineering strategy, roadmap, and operating model.
- Establish standards, methodologies, frameworks, and governance practices.
- Lead a centralized team supporting multiple segments and portfolios.
- Drive adoption of performance best practices across SDLC.
- Serve as trusted advisor for scalability, reliability, and system performance.
- Oversee load, stress, endurance, capacity, and disaster recovery testing.
