Job summary

Ohio Machinery Co. is seeking a Senior Professional Development Trainer to design, deliver, and maintain enterprise-wide development and leadership programs. You will coach leaders, facilitate high-impact sessions, and ensure alignment with broader training initiatives.

The role emphasizes advanced instructional design, adult learning principles, and mentoring of early-career trainers across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Training, Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and leading professional development or training content.
• Facilitation, presentation, and communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions.
• Experience coaching leaders and teams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and maintain professional development and leadership training programs across the organization.
• Facilitate complex training sessions for leaders, managers, and experienced employees.
• Provide individual or small-group coaching to support leadership development and IDPs.
• Ensure programs integrate with other organizational training initiatives.
• Partner with HR and learning teams to coordinate content and learner experience.
• Apply advanced instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Mentor and coach junior trainers and interns.
• Evaluate program effectiveness using feedback and metrics.
• Stay current on PD best practices and foster a learning culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
