Allegion plc is seeking a Senior Lead Systems Engineer to join a global organization focused on safety, security and access management. You will work on integrating physical products, software, and mobile applications to enable seamless access and safer environments.

The role is part of a highly engaged team, with a hybrid work model combining in-person collaboration and remote work, and requires collaboration with multiple engineering leaders and project managers to deliver on schedule.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, CS or related field from ABET-accredited university.
• 10+ years of experience in new product development.
• Experience in requirements management, risk management, program execution, software development (Agile/SAFe) and systems thinking.
• Strong communication and leadership skills in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Desirable: INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification.
• Desirable: knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), or low-power wireless (Bluetooth LE).

Responsibilities

• Work with business and engineering leaders to develop requirements from customer needs for Commercial market applications across hardware and software products.
• Decompose and allocate requirements to correct system elements across hardware and software domains.
• Collaborate with test teams to define and execute verification and validation plans for all levels of requirements.
• Identify areas of reuse for consistent system behavior across commercial system elements.
• Coordinate with project managers and technical leaders to plan and communicate status, resources, and schedule.
• Serve as a key contact with product, software and mobile teams to deliver coordinated integrations.
• Lead technical risk management, problem solving, and verification/validation activities.
• Facilitate FMEA activities and use findings to create resilient systems.
• Grow systems engineering best practices and processes across the Engineering organization.
• Work closely with Software teams to coordinate hardware/software deliverables.
• Contribute to a highly collaborative, hybrid work environment.
