Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson seeks a Principal Lead System Engineer (LSE) for the ESSM Program to drive strategy, align engineering execution, and coordinate multi-disciplined teams onsite.

The role requires DoD clearance readiness, leadership of large cross‑functional teams through development to production, and close collaboration with customers and suppliers to balance margin and producibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and minimum 8 years of prior engineering experience.
• Leadership experience managing large, diverse cross‑functional teams across development to production lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategy and execution across leadership, engineering, and shared services.
• Coordinate efforts across multiple disciplines and program efforts, including external customer engagement.
• Translate missile, launcher, and combat system requirements into actionable direction for program and supplier teams.
• Lead Cross Product Teams and Integrated Product Teams with Engineering, Operations, Mission Assurance, and Global Supply Chain.
• Foster a positive environment and guide management to meet goals.
