Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ seeks a Senior Principal Systems Security Engineer (Program Protection / Anti-Tamper) for our SSE team. The role focuses on protecting DoD embedded weapons systems, with duties spanning requirements, architecture and risk management in a dynamic, agile environment.

The candidate will lead SSE implementations, perform threat modeling, and ensure compliance with DoD policies while coordinating with customers and program management. Onsite role in Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience in System Security Engineering, cybersecurity or embedded security.
• Experience designing and fielding real-time embedded security solutions for DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Support SSE solutions in Raytheon products.
• Interact with customers to define SSE requirements, solutions, costs, and strategies.
• Develop plans, estimates, task execution schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Guide SSE architectures for customer systems.
• Conduct attack threat modeling and CPI assessments.
• Develop top-level system requirements and flow them into subsystem concepts.
• Ensure compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies.
• Consult program management with SSE architecture and issues.
• Perform Task Lead duties (planning, product owner, scrum master).
