Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a Senior Lead Survey Technician to join our Renewables team in Westerville, Ohio. You will own assigned survey projects, perform complex property and boundary research, and deliver accurate ALTA/NSPS surveys and boundary drawings using Civil 3D.

You will work closely with licensed surveyors and project managers, mentor junior technicians, and ensure quality control from research through deliverables, with a focus on deeds, easements, and title

Qualifications

• Significant survey technician experience with complex deliverables.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Knowledge of deeds, easements, ROWs and title documents.
• Ability to interpret field data and resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of survey projects to meet schedules and quality.
• Prepare and review ALTA/NSPS surveys and boundary drawings in Civil 3D.
• Review title commitments and identify survey-related exceptions.
• Research deeds, plats, and easements; depict items on deliverables.
• Assist licensed surveyors with boundary analysis and resolution.
• Coordinate with field and office staff to gather requirements.
• Provide mentorship to survey technicians as needed.
• Perform quality control to ensure accuracy and consistency.
