Forge Search is seeking a Chief Structural Engineer to lead the commercial engineering team in Sumter, SC. The role blends technical design, project ownership, and team leadership on large-scale precast and prestressed concrete projects.

The ideal candidate holds PE licensure, 5+ years of structural experience, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects while coordinating with production, project management, and drafting teams.

Qualifications

• PE licensure required.
• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• 5+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Experience with precast or prestressed concrete preferred.
• Experience supervising engineers and/or drafters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering and design efforts for commercial precast and prestressed concrete projects.
• Design precast concrete systems, components, connections, and related details.
• Perform engineering calculations and develop details for precast products and connections.
• Independently manage design aspects of multiple projects from design through completion.
• Review and stamp erection drawings and structural calculations as required.
• Supervise and support a team of four drafters and coordinate workloads.
• Attend project meetings and lead engineering coordination with stakeholders.
• Review and ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance of drawings.
