Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of three to five years of experience in financial aid administration or finance and accounting or related field.
• At least one to two years of experience supervising staff, student workers, or managing a team.
• Knowledge of federal, state and institutional aid programs and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration and disbursement of Federal Pell Grants, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and accuracy in student accounts.
• Liaise with Pennsylvania State Grant & Special Programs and other agencies providing student educational assistance.
• Stay current on legislative changes impacting the University and update university processes accordingly.
• Supervise the financial aid counselor(s) and manage the Student Employment Program.
• Review and award financial aid packages in accordance with policy guidelines.
• Present financial aid information to students, parents and applicants in person and in group settings.
• Maintain and improve departmental processes and training.
