Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial aid administration or finance and accounting or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience supervising staff, student workers, or managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Pennsylvania State Grant & Special Programs and other Pennsylvania agencies and external entities providing student educational assistance.
• Stay current on legislative changes impacting the University and help the administration respond to pending legislation; identify regulatory changes and update university processes.
• Oversee administration and disbursement of Federal Pell Grants, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and accuracy in student accounts.
• Oversee the Student Employment Program, including maintenance of job descriptions, student job referrals and placement, and communication with supervisors.
• Review and award financial aid packages for cohort in line with federal, state and institutional policies.
• Prepare and present financial aid information to students, parents and applicants in person and in group settings.
• Supervise a financial aid counselor(s).
