Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer for the Infrastructure Platform to push the envelope in building trusted, scalable technology products.

You will lead agile teams, drive secure production code, and adopt AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and reliability. The role requires deep Java full-stack expertise (10+ years) with leadership experience, strong RESTful API design, React front-end skills, and cloud/container experience.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 10+ years of Java full-stack development with 3+ years of leadership.
• Expert-level RESTful API design using Java 11+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong front-end skills in React; relational DBs like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations for AI outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows; coaching senior engineers/leads.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted coding using tools like GitHub Copilot and evaluating AI-generated code.
• Strong prompt engineering for LLMs to produce secure, efficient code.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development workflows and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others' code.
• Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices with measurable validation standards.
• Apply SDLC tools and AI automation to improve value and delivery speed.
• Contribute to the engineering community and advocate firmwide frameworks and practices.
• Influence peers on the use of leading-edge technologies and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
• Lead with the balance of hands-on coding and leadership responsibilities.
