Job summary

Broadridge Financial Solutions seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer focused on Java and AWS. You’ll lead design and development of scalable applications, drive microservices modernization, and mentor a team of engineers.

The role supports both internal and external client platforms with a hybrid work model in New York/New Jersey. You will collaborate with product teams, leverage containerization with Docker, and implement cloud-native approaches.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years software engineering with technical leadership.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS and containerized deployments.
• Knowledge of SQL/Oracle PL/SQL a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, secure applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and modern engineering practices.
• Design, develop, deploy, and support microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot, with hands-on Docker-based deployment across AWS and on-premise environments.
• Collaborate with product/business teams to define roadmaps and align them with technical plans.
• Modernize legacy apps toward microservices, APIs, and cloud-native platforms.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate software delivery with quality.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers; promote best practices.
• Mentor engineers on software design, security, and Agile delivery; improve CI/CD, testing, observability.
• Enhance CI/CD, testing automation, observability, and reliability.
