Job summary

Broadridge is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive Java/Spring Boot applications on AWS, supporting our print and customer communication platforms from our New York or New Jersey offices. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development across cloud-native microservices, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.

The position is hybrid, requiring in-person collaboration two days a week with flexibility for remote work.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or equivalent education/experience.
8+ years of software engineering with technical leadership.
Strong Java, Spring Boot, microservices and REST APIs expertise.
Experience with AWS and containerized deployments using Docker.
Experience with EKS, ECS, Fargate, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
Secure coding practices; SQL and Oracle PL/SQL a plus.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead design/development of scalable, secure Java applications with Spring Boot and AWS.
Develop and support microservices-based apps, containerized with Docker across cloud/on-prem.
Collaborate with product to define roadmaps and align technical plans.
Modernize legacy apps toward microservices, APIs, and cloud-native platforms.
Innovate with AI tools to deliver fast, high-quality software.
Provide technical leadership/mentorship to engineers and promote best practices.
Improve CI/CD, testing automation, observability, and reliability.
