Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the CTO - Risk, Control & Regulatory team. You will drive AI-assisted software development, build Python data products, and deliver secure, observable systems with LLM-enabled capabilities in a risk-aware environment.

You will collaborate with Product, Risk, and Data teams to implement secure, scalable solutions across data pipelines, authenticated integrations, and agent orchestration.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading enterprise AI-assisted software development tools and validating outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI, security and resiliency in engineering workflows.
• Hands-on system design and production ownership with incident response experience.
• Experience building authenticated API integrations (REST/WebSocket) and secure data handling.
• CI/CD with pytest, linting and type checking in a disciplined git/PR workflow.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and establish validation standards.
• Build and maintain full-stack Python data products powering risk workflows.
• Develop LLM-based services with RAG, tool calling, and guardrails.
• Create secure authenticated integrations with internal systems and auth mechanisms.
• Work with data scientists on streaming pipelines and large schemas.
• Write secure production code with comprehensive tests and code reviews.
• Build observability: logs, metrics, tracing; participate in incident response.
• Implement safe-by-default patterns for AI features and governance.
• Deliver audience-ready outputs and risk-focused dashboards and evidence packages.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Controls, Compliance, and data teams.
