Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the CTO - Risk, Control & Regulatory team. You will develop Python-based software with data pipelines, authenticated internal integrations, and generative AI/LLM-based capabilities.

The role emphasizes secure, scalable, and observable systems. You will contribute production code, drive engineering quality across SDLC, and collaborate with Product, Risk, Controls, Compliance, and data teams to deliver risk-aware technology

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Strong hands-on system design and application development skills with production ownership.
Advanced Python proficiency (3.10+), with dataclasses, type hints, and CLI frameworks.
Experience delivering generative AI/LLM solutions, including RAG and tool orchestration.

Responsibilities

Drives adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery.
Build and maintain full-stack Python toolkit and data products powering risk-oversight workflows.
Implement LLM-based services, including RAG, tool orchestration, and guardrails.
Develop authenticated integrations and APIs to internal systems (REST and WebSocket).
Work on data pipelines with data scientists to join large datasets across sources.
Write secure production code with comprehensive tests and participate in code reviews.
Build observability into services and assist in incident response and remediation.
