Qualifications

• Formal software engineering training or certification with at least 5 years of applied experience.
• Experience leading end-to-end design and delivery of complex software systems.
• Strong system design expertise, including distributed systems, microservices, and APIs.
• Experience using AI coding assistants to speed development and coaching teams.
• Experience designing and deploying production agentic systems, such as LLM-powered agents or tool-using AI.
• Ability to establish standards, run experiments, and coach teams in AI-augmented practices.
• Experience building and operating large-scale digital apps with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Proven mentoring and leadership to raise engineering standards.
• Experience applying security practices across the SDLC.
• Experience guiding AI-assisted development tools with validation for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding responsible AI use and coaching on compliant practices and controls.
• Preferred: AI tooling adoption and engineering culture transformation across distributed teams.
• Preferred: Advanced cloud provider experience (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Preferred: Building developer platforms or paved-road capabilities.
• Preferred: Delivering production solutions using LLMs with governance and observability.
