Job summary

You will drive AI-assisted engineering practices, guide architectural decisions, and foster responsible AI use while collaborating across teams to improve delivery speed and reliability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Proficient in modern frontend development with React JS, including component-driven architecture and responsive UI.
• Hands-on experience modernizing front-end applications and automation scripting for the front end.
• Advanced in Java or Python.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools with team-level validation of outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows.
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services IT systems and cloud native experience.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and measurable validation standards across SDLC
• Applies SDLC tooling knowledge to improve automation and value at scale
• Drives decisions shaping product design, functionality and operations
• Acts as subject matter expert in one or more focus areas
• Contributes to engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks and tools
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation and improve stability
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architecture
