Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Advanced in modern front-end development with React JS and building accessible UIs.
• Experience modernizing front-end apps and automation scripting for the front end.
• Proficiency in Java or Python.
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools with validation of AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and security expectations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security in Agile environments.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems.
• Practical cloud native experience.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operations.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve automation at scale.
• Drives decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more focus areas.
• Contributes to the engineering community and firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability of software applications.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams.
