Qualifications

• 10+ years of database engineering experience across multiple platforms (DB2/Mainframe, Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL optional).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and DBaaS/Paas
• Proficient in database design, performance testing, and operational stability
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and governance
• Familiarity with CI/CD, security, and reliability in modern SDLC environments
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence best practices across teams
• Strong communication and collaboration across enterprise teams

Responsibilities

• Contribute as database engineer and development expert, collaborating with application teams on modernization and performance tuning.
• Provide leadership for database modernization strategies and post-migration efforts.
• Partner with PaaS, DBaaS, and Cloud Delivery teams to enable self-service capabilities for application teams.
• Support proactive reviews of database implementations to boost performance and cost efficiency.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices with measurable validation standards (secure coding, peer review, testing).
• Drive adoption of SDLC tools and automation to improve delivery outcomes at scale.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to root-cause analysis for problem management.
• Assist in upskilling teams in database design and support competencies.
• Collaborate with Center of Excellence to codify best practices across DB technologies.
