JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer within Consumer Banking Technology to push the envelope on trusted, scalable technology products. You will lead database modernization efforts, mentor teams, and partner with cloud and DevOps groups to deliver secure, high‑performing solutions.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, secure coding, and adherence to enterprise standards across the SDLC. Strong hands-on DB experience and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 10+ years of applied experience.
• Hands‑on practical experience in database system design, development and performance testing.
• 10+ years' experience as database engineer with DB2/Mainframe, Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora Postgres, Cockroach DB; cloud services like AWS/Azure.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as database engineer and development expert, working with application development teams to modernize/optimize databases.
• Provide guidance on migration and post-migration efforts for database footprints.
• Collaborate with PaaS/DBaaS/Cloud teams to enable self-service capabilities for AD teams.
• Lead database modernization planning and develop modernization patterns.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
