Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Lead Security Engineer to join the Cybersecurity Technology & Controls team.

You will drive secure software delivery across cloud-native architectures, focusing on preventing misuse and ensuring production stability. You will work with stakeholders, guide teams, design RESTful APIs, serverless patterns, and AI/LLM integrations, using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Docker.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience with Python.
• Experience delivering system design, API development, testing, and operations in AWS.
• Strong knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, or related disciplines.
• Expertise in Python, REST APIs, and microservices design.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/Aurora data modeling.
• Ability to work independently on design and automation, incl. AI/LLM services.
• Experience with event-driven/serverless architectures and security in AWS (IAM, KMS, VPC).
• Ability to design and implement enterprise security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Clarify security requirements across networks to satisfy multi-level security needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to adjust business requirements during vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical guidance to teams, using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Architect and deploy scalable solutions on AWS, write secure production code, review others' code with CI/CD and Docker.
• Drive product design decisions and serverless architectures.
• Serve as SME in areas like scalable backend, AI agents, and data pipelines.
• Promote SDLC frameworks and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus).
• Encourage use of cutting-edge tech including LLMs and vector databases like OpenSearch.
