Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. invites a Lead Security Engineer to join the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team in Columbus, OH.

You will be a core technical contributor delivering secure software solutions and ensuring they meet functional requirements while preventing misuse and malicious behavior. You will drive threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and secure SDLC practices, using AI-assisted workflows, and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen controls across multiple business functions.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Ability to plan, design, and implement enterprise-level security solutions.
• Experience using enterprise-approved AI capabilities to support security workflows with validation and data sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to review AI-assisted code/security recommendations before adoption, aligning with security and auditability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages.
• Proficient in SDLC execution including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing.

Responsibilities

• Executes security solutions and design work, solving problems beyond conventional approaches.
• Uses enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate threat modeling and security documentation, with proper data handling.
• Develops secure production code and reviews code written by others.
• Reduces vulnerabilities by following regulations and testing methods; establishes control effectiveness.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand security needs and advise on business changes during vulnerabilities.
• Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices in SDLC to strengthen testing and ensure traceability.
