JPMorganChase in New Jersey seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join its Corporate Technology team. You will guide agile squads, deliver secure, scalable tech products, and lead adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the SDLC.

Heavy emphasis on Python, Flask/Django, microservices, and cloud-native architectures with a focus on security, reliability, and performance. This role offers a challenging, impact-driven environment in a major financial services firm.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Python design and coding, Flask/Django or comparable frameworks, APIs, microservices, testing, data handling and production troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience leading use of enterprise AI-assisted software development tools with ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance and direction to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operations, with measurable validation standards.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools including AI-assisted development to improve value realized by automation.
• Drives decisions influencing product design, functionality, and technical operations.
• Acts as a subject matter expert across teams and advocates firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices.
