Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer specializing in Python, AI/LLM, and secure, scalable systems to join the CTO - Risk, Control & Regulatory team.

You will design and deliver production-grade Python services, data pipelines, and authenticated integrations with REST/WebSocket, building observable, safe-by-default AI features and contributing to an enterprise-grade risk platform.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python proficiency with modern language features and tooling.
• Strong SQL and data-modeling skills for large schemas and read-only queries.
• Experience delivering generative AI/LLM solutions including RAG, tool orchestration, and guardrails.
• Proven experience building secure, auditable systems with proper versioning and access controls.
• Experience building and testing production Python with CI/CD, pytest, linters, and PR workflows.

Responsibilities

• Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with governance and standards.
• Build and maintain full-stack Python toolkit and data products powering agentic risk-oversight workflows.
• Implement LLM-based services with retrieval-augmented generation and tool orchestration.
• Develop authenticated integrations and APIs (REST/WebSocket) with robust error handling and security considerations.
• Work on data pipelines with data scientists to normalize large datasets across sources and schemas.
• Write secure production code with comprehensive tests; participate in code reviews for quality.
• Build observability into services (logs/metrics/tracing) and troubleshoot production issues.
• Implement safe-by-default AI patterns (bounded tool use, timeouts, audit trails).
• Generate audience-ready outputs and structured evidence for risk stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Controls, Compliance and data teams to refine requirements and deliver iteratively.
• Use enterprise AI tools responsibly to accelerate delivery while validating outputs for correctness and security.
