Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Risk Corporate Technology group. You will be a core technical contributor delivering Python services, data pipelines, and AI-enabled workflows within an agile framework, aimed at secure, scalable risk technology solutions.

You will drive AI-assisted practices, mentor engineers, implement robust testing and secure coding standards, and ensure observability and incident response across production systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain Python services, scripts, and pipelines for data/AI use cases.
• Write efficient SQL for analysis, data validation, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Rapidly triage incidents: reproduce issues, isolate root cause, and implement fixes.
• Develop and iterate on AI applications (e.g., LLM-powered workflows, retrieval, evaluation).
• Design and implement agentic systems (tool-using agents, orchestration, guardrails, memory patterns).
• Create monitoring/observability: logging, metrics, traces, and alerting for AI and data services.
• Adopt enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operatinal outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the SDLC including AI-assisted development and automation to improve value.
• Document system behavior, known failure modes, and support procedures
