Job summary
City of New York is seeking a Senior Lead Developer to own the technical direction of enterprise applications within the IT division. You will mentor staff, drive architectural decisions, and partner with stakeholders to modernize platforms managed by the DCAS internal team.
Candidates should have Azure, .NET, and cloud services experience. Responsibilities include designing scalable web apps, leading code reviews, and delivering secure citywide systems with strong documentation and CI/CD
Qualifications
- Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field with required years of experience.
- Experience in enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture or IT infrastructure.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure web applications on Microsoft Azure stack.
- Own technical direction of enterprise .NET solutions across front-end, middle, back-end tiers.
- Lead architectural reviews and coding standards across the team.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and guidance.
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and tasks.
- Build integrations with enterprise systems and RESTful APIs.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.
- Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders for requirements.
- Perform QA testing, unit/integration tests, and fix issues.
- Scale applications to meet SLAs and performance goals.
- Deliver and maintain production systems and long-term enhancements.
- Provide user support and application maintenance for citywide systems.
- Produce technical documentation and contribute to IT standards.
- Research emerging technologies and align with security standards.
