Job summary
The New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is seeking a Senior Applications Developer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise software in a hands-on technical lead role. You will build scalable solutions, mentor peers, and help establish engineering best practices across the Applications Development team.
You will work with Dynamics 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, and other business apps, reporting to the Director of Application Development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience developing enterprise apps with C# and .NET.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong OO programming and design pattern knowledge.
- Experience with Git and code reviews.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and implement enterprise software solutions.
- Lead modernization of existing .NET applications.
- Develop RESTful APIs and reusable components.
- Mentor developers and promote best practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and SDLC processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide technical leadership.
