Job summary

Thomas Young Group is a multidisciplinary engineering firm seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional projects. You will oversee from concept through construction, ensuring designs meet technical standards, budgets, and schedules.

You will collaborate with architects and other engineers, mentor junior staff, and communicate design solutions to clients.

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience in the US construction industry.
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Strong leadership and communication skills
Comfortable managing projects and teams while staying organised.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional projects.
Oversee projects from concept through construction, ensuring designs meet technical standards, budgets, and schedules.
Work closely with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and other disciplines to deliver fully coordinated designs.
Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and quality oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with clients, participate in meetings, and communicate design solutions and suggestions.
