Job summary

You will set up and operate machines, review technical drawings, and inspect parts to meet tight tolerances while maintaining production flow and coaching team members.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehousing, material handling, and machining experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions related to work.
• Basic measurement skills and math for computations.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and standard software.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Sound decision making based on knowledge, experience and judgment.
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and coworkers.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff and ensures training, system understanding and task performance.
• Oversees day-to-day operations for a functional area across departments.
• Leads group meetings with staff and participates in hiring discussions.
• Ensures staff are fully trained for their duties and provides coaching.
• Sets up, adjusts, and operates machines to produce precision parts.
• Reviews blueprints, work orders and tooling instructions.
• Interprets specifications and machining characteristics of metals.
• Operates material handling equipment as needed.
• Performs quality inspections and ensures safety/quality standards.
