Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer for the Electronic Trading Service in Jersey City, NJ. You will architect and optimize low-latency trading infrastructure spanning software, networks, and platforms to meet demanding market requirements.

The role requires hands-on validation with IXIA, real-time performance analysis, and strong scripting/automation skills in a high-stakes financial environment. A CCNP/CCIE or equivalent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Formal training and certification such as CCNP, CCIE or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, multicast, routing, switching).
• Experience in financial services networks and trading platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible).
• Experience with cloud technologies and low-latency environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design architecture for electronic trading systems ensuring scalability and performance.
• Analyze complex data and systems to anticipate issues and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate across platforms to implement changes and modernize technology processes.
• Maintain detailed architecture documentation and provide performance reports.
• Serve as escalation point during major incidents to prevent financial losses.
• Ensure compliance with standards, risk, security, and business objectives.
• Advise junior engineers and contribute to an inclusive team culture.
