Job summary

JPMorganChase is hiring a Lead Software Engineer in the Low Latency trading group in Jersey City, NJ. You will be a core technical contributor responsible for delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable way.

You will drive critical technology solutions across multiple areas to support the firm’s objectives. You will design and implement production code, optimize compute infrastructure, and mentor teams in modern software practices.

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on software engineering and delivery experience.
Experience designing and building scalable, secure production systems.
Proficiency with CI/CD, automation, and deployment pipelines.
Familiarity with low-latency electronic trading environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions and complex debugging in a low-latency setting.
Collaborates with business units to translate needs into technical solutions.
Directs server hardware, OS tuning, automation, and lifecycle of infrastructure apps.
Owns design authority for compute infrastructure and configuration management.
Interacts with vendors on roadmaps and future platform directions.
Develops secure production code and reviews peers' work.
Identifies and eliminates recurring issues to improve stability.
Leads evaluation sessions with external and internal teams on architecture.
Leads communities of practice and fosters inclusive team culture.
