• 7 years experience in software engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Understanding of IPv4 networking and OSI model, routing, and network segregation.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Demonstrated proficiency with cloud-native technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems.
• Practical cloud-native experience.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Work with Lines of Business to address needs in the low-latency trading compute space.
• Direct strategies for server hardware, OS tuning, automation, and lifecycle.
• Design Authority for the compute infrastructure stack, including build/config mgmt and log/metric aggregation.
• Interface with hardware and software vendors on product roadmaps for next-gen trading platform infra.
• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams on architecture.
• Leads communities of practice to drive awareness of new technologies.
• Contributes to a culture of diversity and inclusion.
