Job summary

Celestica’s Senior Lead Engineer, Software in San Jose leads BSP and firmware development for high‑performance networking platforms. You will design, code, test, and debug software spanning firmware to application layers, following agile processes and product lifecycle governance.

Working with hardware, manufacturing and project leadership, you will drive board bring-up, driver integration, and performance improvements while mentoring engineers and ensuring robust delivery against requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing device drivers and BSP; able to lead engineering teams.
• Cross-functional collaboration with hardware and manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of RTOS, multithreading, and SMP.
• Proficiency in C, Linux kernel programming, and kernel architecture.
• Proficiency in Python and debugging complex systems.
• Experience with hardware test equipment (JTAG, I2C analyzers).
• Solid understanding of Ethernet PHYs, PCIe, USB, SPI, NAND, I2C, SDRAM.

Responsibilities

• Lead BSP and firmware design, development, and implementation.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers.
• Review customer requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Coordinate deployment of strategic programs and site-wide efforts.
• Develop and integrate Linux device drivers for networking platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, and customers to ensure product success.
• Develop tests and test-automation suites; maintain systems.
