Job summary

DriveNets is seeking a Software Engineer – BSP & Firmware to join the Hardware Software team in Raanana. The role focuses on developing and integrating BSPs and low-level firmware for carrier-grade networking hardware.

You will work with ASICs/SoCs, bring up new platforms, and ensure robust, high-performance network software on embedded Linux. 8+ years in embedded development and strong C/C++ skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of embedded software development in networking or related field.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for low-level system development.
• Strong experience with embedded Linux, bootloaders, kernel configuration, and driver development.
• Familiarity with SoC architectures (e.g., ARM, MIPS) and board bring-up procedures.
• Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, JTAG, logic analyzers).
• Knowledge of networking protocols and hardware (Ethernet, switching/routing, PHYs) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain BSP components including bootloaders, device trees, and HALs.
• Design and implement firmware and low-level drivers for network hardware platforms.
• Support hardware bring-up and board validation with hardware teams.
• Work on performance optimization, debugging, and stability of embedded Linux system software.
• Interface with third-party SDKs and adapt them to DriveNets’ software infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for networking and embedded systems.
