Job summary

Celestica in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Lead Engineer, Electrical Design to drive the design and development of high‑speed electrical systems. You will create schematics, BOMs and diagrams, lead a team, and coordinate with customers, manufacturing, and suppliers to ensure robust product quality.

Qualifications

• PCB design fundamentals, single-ended and differential signals.
• Manage signal integrity challenges: loss, impedance, crosstalk.
• Up to 50Gbps signaling; differential signaling.
• Use component models and simulate system models.
• Simulate digital interfaces and analog paths.
• 2D/3D simulation tools like ADS, HFSS, Sigrity.
• Electrical length calculations for signal matching.
• Interpret frequency and time-domain signals.
• Generate data-eye diagrams up to 50Gbps.
• PCB stack-up design and high-frequency materials.
• Lab measurements: TDR, VNA.
• Develop test fixtures.
• Balance cost vs performance.
• Flex circuit design for high-speed signaling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers.
• Review, interpret and may negotiate customer requirements/specifications.
• Lead deployment of strategic programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
• Proactively promote industry best practices.
• May manage relationships with key vendors/partners.
• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs.
• Testing, simulation and measuring the performance of systems.
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations.
• Solve complex problems.
• Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
• Analyze and interpret data and information.
• Recommend modifications for systems.
• Create reports and documentation.
